Winky Tomato Chef Hat

Starting this Christmas I am introducing a whole new line of Chef hats. This is a one of a kind pattern sewn up by the kitchen queen (Lynns designer Aprons) a collaboration of two crafters. The final touch is added by me with applique of cheeky vegetables. The first in the series is Mr. Winky the Tomato.

This item will be available in the following colors: White, Light Green, Light Blue, Pink, and Red.

More colors can be requested! Make all your friends jealous and let them know who is in charge of the kitchen! It keeps your hair out of your face and out of your food! It's a one of a kind, unique gift for the chef in your life. Available starting today in my etsy shop.

Also I am having a SALE in my etsy store to get rid of old inventory. The bear bags have been marked down from $10.00 to $7.00.

The flower power earrings have been marked down to only $4.00! That is a steal folks. I worked hard on those.. for some reason no one wants to buy them. I think they are fabulous. Please someone give them a good home! I can't wear them all!

Cheap Giftwrapping Ideas

Over the past few weeks I've seen a lot of posts and pictures of some really creative gift wrapping ideas. I thought I'd share them with all of you!

Eco-friendly plastic bag pom-poms. From Creature Comforts. Also they can be used as a garland and tree ornaments. What a great last minute decorating idea to have up your sleeve.

Lupin from bugs and fishes came up with a neat idea to use woodgrain vinyl sticker paper. Follow her tutorial here. She also have a few other ideas she has been posting, some recent ones use paper snowflakes and old vintage postage stamps. Definitely worth a look!

I also love her idea with the pom pom gift wrap. I'm a big fan of hers all around.. she has such lovely stuff.

Weekend Warrior! and new market apparel

Look at my new fancy hat! I spent some of this week working on some new apparel items for me to wear at shows. I think it's hard for people to identify who is in charge of the booth.. as I seem to blend in pretty well with the other crafters.. and they don't know who to ask. Well it's going to be pretty obvious now! I just finished crafting this awesome new hat. More to come for sure! That was so much fun to make. I also spent HOURS patiently sewing on all the letters for my new show jacket!

On the front is a left crest embroidered with my logo. It came out a bit blurry.. sorry.. hard to get a good photo this late at night. I embroidered the felt then cut it out and hand sewed it on. The back is all felt applique that I sewed on with the sewing machine. yeah! I ran into a few problems but the hardest part was shifting the huge jacket when I was doing all these tight curves on the letters. Sheesh!

So what else did I do? Well I took out ALL my adult shirts and took photos of them. I was out there in the freezing cold people! My fingers are numb! I went through a whole pack of batteries! All for you.. see how I suffer? hehe

For this Christmas season I will be focusing primarily on children's clothing for my market sales. It's just to hard to lug around all the adult shirts and no one takes any time to look at them anyways. So for this season I'm going to just offer them online. Keep checking back this week because I will be posting about them and adding them to my etsy shop. I just need some time to process all these photos I have now.. oh boy.

My next project is to upload these shirts and work on a banner for my tent. It has been SOOO cold here but it's nice to sit inside by the heater and craft away all weekend. It's my version of heaven :) but I am rather happy to get back to work tomorrow and finally out of the house.

Love and a Sandwhich

I am in love with these guys! So many monsters, fuzzies and funny expressions from loveandasandwhich. It's feeding my creativity as I sit through another day of work listening to the rain pour down on the roof above. I'm all cuddled into my chair with a fuzzy blanket I keep at work. Oh my what a way to pass the time. Lovely monsters of all shapes and sizes!

For more beauties check out their flickr site and don't forget their etsy shop!

Happy Friday everyone! ^_^

Online Orders now available!

I was feeling crummy this week after standing out in the cold for two days straight and working/living/riding the bus with sick people of all sorts. I must have come down with something so it was home to get lots of sleep and rest. So it was a sick day for me.

But after a lot of rest I used some of that downtime to finish the update of my website! I finished everything tonight and shirts are now available online, from baby onesies to ladies tees. oh yes! I only have a few designs available but I can ad more. If you want something added or another color option, please send me a little email.

kthnksbye!

Portland City Sampler

Well I may be late but at least I found out that my little sticker design was up on the front page of Craft Magazine Blog. I submitted this little guy as part of the Portland City Sampler earlier this fall with a bunch of my crafter pals. It's a great selection of items and was a real team effort getting this out to the public. Thanks to my friend Autumn for organizing it and making it happen!

This is my first time participating in the sampler and I don't know if it's been a success but it has been fun. I want to try some temporary tattoos for my next batch, the stickers seem to go over pretty well.

This is a project of PDX Indie - a local group of Portland Artisans that started up this year. I was the graphic designer behind the logo design (I LOVE designing crafty logos! yeah!) It's a group I strongly support and hope to be a part of more in the future.

Christmas Stars from soda bottles

Hey look another use for Soda bottles! Check out the tutorial from esprit cabane. Perfect for a winter garland or a cheap way to decorate the tree! These would also hold up to the rain and snow of outdoor trees so you can decorate your winter garden as well.

Happy Recycling!

Website Opening!

Hiya everyone. Sorry for the lack of posts and pictures. I wanted to send out a quick update though about my online orders and website.

I will be working all this week on finishing my website and adding a whole new selection of shirts and designs available for purchase online! So just in time to start your holiday shopping you can do it conveniently from home in your pajamas! I will also be adding an option for holiday wrapping so you can just order and I will send to the address of your choice all wrapped up lolly-tots style. (pictures to come later this week)

So never fear! If I don't have something you want in person you can find it online. That way it will be much easier to match up the right size to your little tot and get it delivered in time for Christmas, likety split.

I will update this weekend when it is fully launched.

Oh and Saturday market was a blast on Sunday. I am working on still becoming a member and will try to be a regular. I'm low on the list though so spots are hard to get and I don't know if I can be there or not. I plan on working my way up the list next year! I will definitly be a regular soon and that will be the best way to find me. Also best way to find the cool and unique items I don't post online or my etsy.. but just offer to the special folks that hunt me down in person. You get to see all my prototypes too! I'm so excited about next year. I only have November and December to sell then I'm taking three months off from selling. I'll be focusing on my website and online sales though so stay tuned all you etsy shopppers!

I'll be selling to you in my pajamas as you buy from me in your bunny slippers. hehe

check back for updates this weekend!

SATURDAY MARKET!!!

Lolly-tots will be doing it's FIRST weekend at the Saturday Market this Weekend!

Check out the info for the market here: www.portlandsaturdaymarket.com

I'll be there hopefully both days but for sure on Saturday.

This is my first time doing something this big and I'm so excited and nervous! I have new designs with applique and working on some special things for Christmas. I will keep you all updated when I do the market again. I will try to get in but the new members get the last spots and I'm not sure if there will be room for a newbie. But I will try!

It's bright and sunny and going to be a beautiful Saturday afternoon. See you at the market?
